Yesterday afternoon when I checked the mail I received a beautiful perfume gift set of a perfume that I’ve never tried before. In fact, I’d never heard of the perfume that was in the perfume gift set, but upon opening the package, I could tell that I was going to love it. Inside, was a card which said simply, “Thought this may brighten your day.”
I had no idea who would have sent the perfume gift set, and since my husband was out of town and had been extremely busy, I definitely didn’t think it would be him. Instead, I suspected my mother, since she’s been ordering things left and right since she learned how to order items online. When I called mom, she said it was sweet that I would have thought she sent the perfume gift set, but it wasn’t her. If it wasn’t, then I had no idea was, until my husband called a few hours later and I mentioned it to him. I could tell he was smiling through the phone and also very happy that he was able to surprise me. It was definitely a day brightener.
